Brock and Gage's Unbirthday Party I

I decided a fun summer tradition for my boys would be to have an "Unbirthday Party" with their friends. We had the party at the end of June 2010. We rented an inflatable bowling ring along with big huge boxing gloves, and a bouncehouse/waterslide combo. We also filled up our swimming pool. We had a big food table in the corner of the yard under the gazebo. Kids could also play in the sand box, swing on the swing set, play basketball, or ride some of the "play cars" in the backyard. We had hot dogs, chips and lots of junk food. The only problem that did arise was some kids would get wet and then go play in the sand box and get completely covered in sand. Then the children would want to go down the waterslide again so they'd track alot of sand through the bounce house and up the ladder, go down the waterslide and all the sand would come off in the water at the end of the waterslide. So the end of the waterslide became a dirty, sandy mess. Not to mention the nasty soggy puddle of water left in our grass that looked like crap almost the entire rest of the summer :). So I tell you this, for Gage & Brock's Unbirthday II, the sand box will be a forbidden place that will be taped off. Children will be banned from that area of the yard. I was very happy that my friend Diane came with her 2 girls, we were the only adults there. Kids in attendance: Diane & Libby & Addie Salisbury, Gage, Brock, Cole & Kaley Marler, Em & Jake DeYoung, Christianna & Victoria Fairall, Laycee Brown, Maria, Ivan, Jerry, Drew & Domi & Lexi Dent, John & Tanner Lyman * Daniel Miranda. Can't wait for this June to plan another party. Note: Unbirthday Party 2011 will not include the boxing ring, it was very unpopular, all the kids wanted to do was go down the waterslide.
